Banks Lake was formed by the building of Dry Falls Dam in the south and then pumping water up the hill from Grand Coulee Dam and filling up the northern section of Moses Coulee. Badger Mountain sits above the Columbia River just north of East Wenatchee. A nice day trip can be had by taking the back way from East Wenatchee to Waterville that goes right through the Badger Mountain area.
