Badger Mountain is located on the east side of the Columbia River and is actually home to what locals know as the back way from East Wenatchee to Waterville. This unusual structure sits near the top and gets some curious looks from those who take this out of the way route.

The field above East Wenatchee was the site of a historic event a long time ago. The first transatlantic flight left from Japan and landed in East Wenatchee long ago. The plane’s name was the Miss Veedol and this small monument near the entrance to the city pays tribute to this significant accomplishment.

The Wenatchee Panthers defeated the Eastmont Wildcats in the 2011 Battle of the Bridge by the score of 40-19.  The Panthers fell behind early, but were able to rebound and put together a very good second half against a tough Wildcats team.  It was a great game and a fun atmosphere o friendly rivalry between the two neighboring cities.

East Wenatchee is a fun little city with a lot to do and much to offer. All of the best attractions in North Central Washington can be reached from East Wenatchee and it is located right across the river from Wenatchee. Here is a look at the very distinctive East Wenatchee City Hall building.
