Rocky Reach Dam is located just a few miles north of Wenatchee. To get to the visitor center, travel north on US97A on the west side of the Columbia River. There is a large park and climbing toy for the kids to run and play on, but the dam itself is the main attraction. Here [...]

Wells Dam is located between Pateros and Chelan and sits just downstream of where the Methow River flows into the Columbia River. This is yet another of the many hydroelectric dams in the region that provide for affordable energy, great recreational opportunities, and are a benefit to agriculture because of the irrigation possibilities they provide. Chief Joseph Dam is the first dam downriver from the world famous Grand Coulee Dam. Though it is not as well known, it is a very important dam to those from North Central Washington. It is also very impressive and Bridgeport State Park is located right behind it. Twitter This!

The O’Sullivan Dam is one of the longest earth-fill dams in the entire United States and is responsible for keeping the water that forms the Potholes Reservoir within its boundaries before releasing it into the irrigation system for the lower Columbia Basin to make use of. Twitter This!
