The O’Sullivan Dam is one of the longest earth-fill dams in the entire United States and is responsible for keeping the water that forms the Potholes Reservoir within its boundaries before releasing it into the irrigation system for the lower Columbia Basin to make use of. Twitter This!

One of the lesser seen dams in North Central Washington is the Chelan Dam that crosses the Chelan River shortly after it leaves Lake Chelan. The spillways to this dam are rarely opened as most of the water is pumped underground to the powerhouse down below. Twitter This!
