Most of us think of Lake Wenatchee as a great place to go camping or a fun place to go in order to escape the heat during the long hot summer months. Lake Wenatchee is that as there are fun recreational opportunities in the area as well as plenty of access to the waters of the cold refreshing glacier fed lake.

Lake Wenatchee is also beautiful and fun in the winter. The campsites are closed during this time of year, but the beach and trails are open. Cross country skiing is popular and the trails are well groomed for this activity.

Oh, and did we mention that the lake itself, as well as the surrounding area, is beautiful in the winter?

<img alt="Lake Wenatchee in Winter" src="http://ncwpics.com/ncw/wp-content/gallery/lake-wenatchee/lake-wenatchee-winter.jpg" title="Lake Wenatchee in Winter" width="450 />
Lake Wenatchee in Winter
