The Chelan County Fire Department works hard to keep residents of Chelan County safe. Here is a photo of one of the helicopters they use in their firefighting efforts.

This tank is on display near one of the many lookout spots overlooking Chief Joseph Dam. This is one of the major dams over the Columbia River and is located just east of the city of Bridgeport in North Central Washington.

This photo shows the Columbia River flowing right between the neighboring cities of Wenatchee and East Wenatchee. It was taken from the east, in the foothills above East Wenatchee.

Mansfield, Washington is located up on an area referred to by many as the Waterville Plateau. It is west of Banks Lake, north of Highway 2 which travels east-west through the state, and is somewhat near both Grand Coulee Dam and Chief Joseph Dam. This photo shows an interesting home addition that includes a mobile home, an exterior roof, and an add-on addition.

Alta Lake State Park is located just south of the Methow River and just west of Pateros, Washington. The park features access to the water of Alta Lake, plenty of great campsites, fun hiking trails, a nice beach area, and the snack bar area that overlooks it (pictured above). Alta Lake is just one of the many great state parks in North Central Washington.

Located in the Valley Hi community in between the turn off known as the Big Y and the top of Blewett Pass is the Blewett Pass Fire Department. Blewett Pass is more than just a way to get across the mountains between the Ellensburg / Cle Elum are and the Wenatchee / Leavenworth area. Plenty of people live in this area too. There are also orchards, fruit stands, hiking trails, creeks, and the beautiful land of the Wenatchee National Forest too.

Wells Dam sits on the Columbia River south of the community of Brewster.

Bridgeport State Park sits just behind Chief Joseph Dam on the north shore of the Columbia River. This is a popular place to camp for those looking to fish and water ski on the waters of Rufus Woods Reservoir.

Douglas, Washington is an extremely small community sitting on US Route 2 a couple of miles east of Waterville.
