Rock Island Grade heads east into the hills from Highway 28, right near Rock Island Dam. It is a completely unique route to take for a scenic drive in North Central Washington. There are not a whole lot of attractions and things to do along the way, the main attraction is just the drive and the scenery that can be seen there.

Check out the Rock Island Grade photo gallery to see more.

This is a great area where visitors can come and ride their off road vehicles all over the sand dunes that are there. It is located just east of the community of Beverly and right on the north backs of Crab Creek. Four wheelers, motorcycles, go carts, and more can all be ridden there.

You can check out photos of this fun location right here in the Beverly Off Road Vehicle Park gallery.

Located very near to there are Lennice, Merry, and Nunnaly Lakes. This area does not allow motorized vehicles and they are popular with anglers and those looking to get outdoors.

Conconully Lake is a small reservoir impounded by the Conconully Dam and fed by Salmon Creek. It sits right at the community of Conconully in Okanogan County. It is located about 20-30 minutes west of the town of Omak. The water is cold and crisp, the scenery is beautiful, and the fishing is very good. This is a great area of North Central Washington to visit for outdoor recreation or just to relax.

We’ve added photos of the fun and scenic little community of Conconully, Washington recently.

Conconully is located in Okanogan County, about 20 minutes west of Omak. When you finally reach it, you enter alongside Conconully Lake and right past Conconully State Park. The town is very small with essentially one main road. There are a number of fun local celebrations to take part in while visiting Conconully, and it is also pleasurable to just show up and relax. Camping can be done at the state park as well as in the many campgrounds in the Okanogan National Forest that begins just outside of town. There are also RV parks and private campgrounds along the lake too. There are even some rental cabins and homes available there.

Anyone looking to get away from it all will enjoy the great outdoors and the laid back small town life of Conconully, Washington.
