It’s really cool when neat attractions and events come to North Central Washington.

On October 20th, Wenatchee welcomes the Piccadilly Circus to town. This unique circus has been entertaining adults and children both for 25 years. The sound everyone wants to hear at a circus is laughter and there will be plenty of that to go around as those who go to the circus will be treated to what will seem like a near endless string of great performances.

What kind of stuff will be seen?

An ‘Elephant Extravaganza’!

The ‘White Tiger Spectacular’!

Aerialists!

…and who can forget the clowns and other performers?

Two of the most interesting performances that I’m looking forward to are the Motorcycle Madness attraction which features daredevils on motorcycles doing some incredible stunts including riding, jumping, and spinning inside what they describe as a Globe of Doom! The other one that I think my kids will love is Rocky the Boxing Kangaroo. This is a 250 pound kangaroo who takes on all comers, including it sounds like even some audience members.

Sounds like a great show and I know my kids will love it.

When: Thursday, October 20th with two shows, the first at 4:30pm and the second at 7:30pm.

Where: The Town Toyota Center in Wenatchee, 1300 Walla Walla Avenue, right next to Lowe’s and right across the street from Walla Walla Park.

Here are some photos from the carnival down along the river last night.  It was packed, the wind was blowing, and everyone still had a real good time!

A great fireworks show was put on during the 4th of July festivities in Wenatchee this year. The photo above is taken from the pathway on the Odabashian Bridge on the north end of town, looking back towards Walla Walla Park where the fireworks are launched.

This was a somewhat unique place to watch the show from. It was virtually deserted and though it was a bit farther away, the reflection on the water all the way up the river gave it a nice feel.

Where did you view the fireworks from?

There is sure to be some fun music played when Mix hits the stage. This is a local show that should definitely not be passed up.

Apple Blossom is a great time with something for everyone. From the two parades that bookend the celebration, to the excellent live entertainment, to the fun food, and even the rides… What isn’t to love about Apple Blossom?
