Better than that, he won a competition after the awards ceremony with the longest throw of a disc (sometimes called a Frisbee) at 540 feet. To get an idea of the distance, a standard football field is 100 yards long, or 300 feet. Read the story here.

A great year it was for outdoor recreation. The skiing and snowboarding was great at Stevens Pass, Mission Ridge and the handful of other outdoor recreation areas in the vicinity. A nice change from some of the lighter winters in the past few years. Spring, summer, and fall will pass by fast and soon it’ll be time to head down the mountainsides again.
