Recently covered by the Wenatchee World, but worth mentioning again, a historic bridge over Nason Creek just south of Lake Wenatchee collapsed under the weight of the winter snow not too long ago. The bridge originally carried Highway 2 traffic over Nason Creek but has long since been used primarily just for local traffic, in recent years relegated to pedestrian and snowmobile use alone. It is sad to see the structures of the past, the ones tied to our history, fail to be preserved.
