Waste Management Transports Kittitas County Garbage Into Douglas County

Here is an article detailing the process that Waste Management uses as they contract with Kittitas County to dispose of solid waste at their private landfill east of East Wenatchee. An interesting fact in the article, is that Kittitas County residents are charged approximately $75 per ton to dispose of their garbage, and of that $75, Eighty-five cents is paid to Douglas County as a host fee for bringing in waste from another county.
