The University of Washington announced they had received nine signed letters of intent from high school seniors set on playing baseball at the collegiate level for the Huskies. Among those signing was Eastmont High School pitcher Seth Haehl.

The Nespelem Eagles have a new mascot and it sits inside their trophy case. Thanks to Monte Joseph, an actual Eagle… fresh from the taxidermist, will greet students from behind glass at Nespelem School.

Trinidad is a very small community located on Highway 28 between Rock Island and Quincy, Washington. It sits right at the turn off for, and above the cliffs of, the popular Crescent Bar Resort along the Columbia River.

It’s been years since there has been any new hydroelectric dam construction talk going on in the North Central Washington area, but officials are looking into the possibility of a new dam constructed on the Similkameen River just west of Oroville, Washington - right near the Canadian border.
