Few things seem as hard as scraping together college tuition. It isn’t always the tuition either that seems overwhelming, often it’s the “extras”… the rent, the books, and a minor thing students seem to think they need… food.

We recently came across a very cool scholarship contest. It’s a greeting cards scholarship contest and the top prize is a $10,000 scholarship. This would be perfect for anyone intending to enter college and also has an art or graphic design background. They accept entries in a number of different forms; photos, artwork, and computer graphics.

The contest is put on by a company called The Gallery Collection. The Gallery Collection has been around since 1929 and the main part of their business is corporate or business greeting cards. You’re familiar with those business Christmas cards that businesses send to each other around the holidays; well The Gallery Collection handles that exact product. They can print them, personalize them, and deliver them right to you or your company. A very cool idea! They have a wide variety of types of greeting cards available as well as lots of different messages and materials.
