Wenatchee Not Getting A Hockey Team… Yet

Plans for getting a BCHL (British Columbia Hockey League) team to play in Wenatchee in time for next season appear to have been scrapped. The BCHL announced that the plan move of the former Williams Lake franchise will not happen this season.

This affects more than just the BCHL and the other hockey franchises, players, and fans. The hockey team was to be the main tenant in the new Riverfront Arena being built in Wenatchee. From the sounds of the BCHL, there is still a good likelihood of the league putting a team in Wenatchee sometime in the near future.
