Autumn in North Carolina is extremely beautiful and everything I can find looks as if Raleigh has a unique mix of big city life and small town charm. Anyone who has never been to Raleigh is truly missing a top vacation spot.
Whether looking for a laid back vacation (there are tons of museums and historical sites in the Raleigh area) or wanting to let your hair down this year (who would’ve thought you could go to a hockey game in North Carolina?), you won’t be at a loss for something to do in Raleigh. Hey, the North Carolina State Fair is even coming to town this fall!
Okay, did a little research – Raleigh has something for everyone…
-I already mentioned the museums and historical sites. In Raleigh are the North Carolina Museum of History, the North Carolina Museum of Art, and the North Carolina Museum of Natural History.
-Interested in research? The Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area is known as the Research Triangle and there is a 7,000 acre research complex that is open to tours.
-Want to taste some local produce… and then some? The State Farmers Market is located in Raleigh and is essentially a 75-acre open-air market.
-Sports fan? What do Dean Smith, Arnold Palmer, and Richard Petty have in common? They’re all three in the North Carolina Sports Hall-of-Fame (located inside the North Carolina Museum of History).
-Have little ones? Pullen Park features pedal boats, an antique carousel, and kiddie train rides among other things. All this and more is available in Raleigh, North Carolina – and this contest give you the chance to win an exciting and much deserved Fall Getaway.
So come on, hanging out in Raleigh… that’s got to be better than what you had planned for this fall.
