Former Wenatchee Resident And Alaska Broadcasting Pioneer Passes Away

Alaska radio and television pioneer Augie Hiebert passed away last Thursday at the age of 90. Hiebert brought the first television stations to the state of Alaska in the 1950’s. Hiebert was born in Trinidad, Washington (between Wenatchee and Quincy) and held his first broadcast position working on the radio in Wenatchee.
