There it is up for view for everyone to enjoy.
The final chapter in the controversial removal and replacement of the former Apple Capital of the World sign that graced the north entrance to Wenatchee is almost written. And here, here are the first pictures of it being put into it’s final resting place.

Well, kind of.
That’s right, it’s under wraps for awhile longer. Graybeal signs was on the scene installing it today,

but, according to the black plastic covering - it won’t be unveiled until August 29th at 2:30pm.
The removal of the original sign did not sit too well with community supporters who want the city to continue to both remember it’s past and show support for it’s future agricultural industry. A compromise of sorts was worked out with a brand new Apple Capital of the World sign, and now all who enter Wenatchee will get to see it - well, not now… but shortly.
