Chelan Angler Catches 285.4 Pound Fish - Leads In Alaskan Fishing Derby

Susie Fenton, of Chelan Washington, caught a 285.4 pound Halibut during the Homer Jackpot Halibut Derby making her the current leader in the women’s division of that contest. The contest runs the entire month of August and takes place in Alaska.

Secretary of State Releases Voter Turnout Report

Secretary of State Sam Reed’s office released voter turnout information regarding the state primary. Among the interesting findings is that Chelan County received approximately 50% voter turnout while neighboring Douglas County was right around 25%.
