If you haven’t been to Grand Coulee Dam and taken the tour, checked out Lake Roosevelt, or any of the other local attractions recently, now is the time to get heading that way. The famous laser light show that gets projected on the face of the dam starts, along with the rest of the summer visiting hours and attractions, on May 26th.
They’ve recently remodeled the visitor’s center and it is open from 8:30am until one hour after the laser light show starts. Tours of the impressive third powerplant at Grand Coulee Dam will also be running daily from 10am to 5pm.
The laser light show is truly something to see with tons of information about the dam and the Columbia River and a laser projected bald eagle whose wings spread from one side of the dam to the other. The kids really enjoy themselves… and they seem to learn a little something about our area in the process.
