A Brief Look At Ardenvoir, Washington

Ardenvoir, Washington is a small community hidden about nine miles up the Entiat Valley from the town of Entiat and where the Entiat River flows into the Columbia River. Surrounded by the pine covered foothills that lead to the Cascade Mountains and covered with orchard land, Ardenvoir is the last of civilization that campers and hunters see as they trek deeper into the Entiat Valley.

The business district of Ardenvoir consists of one large building that houses the Post Office, Cooper’s General Store, and the Uptown Café. Sitting right along the Entiat River, this makes a great stop whether you’re heading into the mountains or just coming back down. Get a hot meal, a cold pop, or an ice cream bar – even mail out a post card or two.

From Ardenvoir, you can either continue up the Entiat River Road to Silver Falls and other campgrounds, or you can head up the Mad River Road as well. Camping and hiking opportunities are plentiful and the beauty of the valley, canyons, and river will bring out the shutterbug in anyone.

Pictures of Ardenvoir can be viewed along with pictures of other NCW communities in our NCW Communities Gallery.
